Sometimes you just crave something simple and tasty that’s going to please the whole family . In the 70’s, everyone’s mum had their own version of this recipe . Weather its beef, pork or chicken you choose, Ki-Si-Min is the perfect comfort food. My idea of a TV Dinner is a bowl of Ki-Si-Min in one hand, the TV remote in the other and a good game of football to watch.
Heat the oil on medium and add the mince and curry powder.
Brown the meat while breaking the clumps with a fork or wooden spoon.
When the meat resembles coarse grains, add the carrots, celery and beans and stir to combine.
Sprinkle the soup over the meat and veggies and cover with boiling water. *The water should reach the level of the meat and vegetables and no higher.
Add the sliced cabbage and gently simmer with the lid on for approximately 45 minutes or until the cabbage has wilted. *Simmering for 45 minutes is an approximate. You can cook the cabbage down for longer if you prefer.
when the cabbage has wilted, give everything a good stir and serve in individual bowls with a little soy sauce on the side.
