When the supermarket shelves are jam packed with an endless assortment of cheap ready made biscuits , you wouldn’t bother with the effort of home made unless the reward was worthy . My Yoyo’s wont disappoint. Not only are they a buttery, moreish mouthful, they are quick and easy to prepare and will make around 13 biscuits per batch.

Instructions
- Pre-heat to 180° convection or 160° fan forced
- With an electric beater, cream the butter and icing sugar until smooth.
- Add the custard powder and mix for a further minute or two.
- Add enough flour to form a dough able to hold its shape ( I generally use the entire 6oz of flour ). Mix until combined.
- Roll into smooth balls (around the size of a small golf ball) and arrange on a large baking tray.
- Flatten each ball with a fork and place half a glace cherry on each. Bake for 20 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and leave on the tray for a minute or two before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely
